Champagne Birthday

My Brother celebrated his Champagne Birthday on Thursday. What's a Champagne Birthday you ask? It is when you turn the same age as the day you were born. So my brother turned 24 on the 24th of April.
I made this little gift holder to hang on the bottle of champagne I bought later.
I made a 3x3 card to fit inside.
(As well as a gift card).
And this is how it hangs on a bottle.
Happy Birthday "Not So Little" Brother!

April's Stampin' Club Projects

We dusted off our Stampin' Pastels to create this month's projects.
My poor pastels haven't been used in a long time, with all of the new techniques I've been trying out!
I forgot how many different things you can do with them.
On this first card I used the Caulk board technique for the bird image. You stamp white craft ink on dark card stock, (I used Chocolate Chip), then daub the pastel on before it dries.
Have a look at the ribbon... Yes!! you can use the pastels to color ribbon too!
Just rub the pastels on White ribbon.
I love this stamp set Always!

On this matchbook card we colored chipboard with our pastels. The large heart we embossed with white emboss powder. After it  cools, you can rub the pastel into the embossed image.
The last technique is called poppin' pastels. Just stamp the saying in versa mark then daub on the pastels.
I love how these turned out! I will be using my pastels more often now!

 Thanks for looking!

Playing Around!

I've been playing around with stamping on canvas....

and this is what I've come up with.
I was a little disappointed with how the flowers turned out. I tried to stamp them in the corners, but it just didn't work out for me!
I used the Simply Scrappin' Kit Home Again.
I am really liking the Scrappin' Kits! So easy to create pages with!
Let me know what you think and if you have any tips for working with canvas! (leave me a comment, below)

Click on the picture for all the info!

I'm still here!!

I have been a little busy the last while, completing
Stampin' Club projects and working on Scrapbook projects. (I will post them later).

I celebrated a birthday last week too!
We were out for dinner all weekend! Gotta love that!!
My Mom made me this really nice card.
She hand cut the larger flowers, at first I thought it was a punch or felt flowers. The smaller ones are from the Boho Blossoms punch.
I love the colors she used too! (River Rock, Pumpkin Pie, Cameo Coral, Very Vanilla, and Purely Pomegranate)
Thanks Mom!
